Tamela Mann is a very popular gospel singer. She is a Grammy award-winning singer and multi-awards recipient from different award shows such as BET, Billboard, and NAACP.  

“Change me” is a gospel song from her 2016 “One Way”. This song is about a person wanting God to come in his or her life and wanting God to make him or her more like him. In this song, Tamela Mann uses pitch inflection and group participation. The song uses pitch inflection throughout the entire song when she is changing the way she is changing the way she is singing the song. Also, she has group participation in which in the song she is asking the audience to sing along in this song. 

Another song is “God Provides”. In this song, Tamela Mann talks about God providing for you even through the worst of times. God may not come when you want him to but he will always be on time. In this song, Tamela is using syncopation and group participation. The song places emphasis on the beat at times and she shows that the beat helps fully deliver the song. 

I choose these two songs because these songs helped me on my spiritual journey with God. These songs remind me that I need to continue to self-improve myself. In addition, these songs also make me remember that I need to be patient for the blessings that God has for me.
